Thursday Afternoon Diversion: Janelle Monáe's "Tightrope"

A heavy local buzz is following in the wake of Janelle Monáe's two night stand at Schubas yesterday and Monday. Lizz shot pictures of the Monday show and we checked out the Tuesday show and indeed the crowd was wowed by Monáe's mixture of Motown, Prince, and Grace Jones.

The live version of "Tightrope" was incendiary and easily the highlight of her set.
