The Morning After: Spring Training In Arizona Wraps Up

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Apr 2, 2010 3:00PM

It's the last push of Spring Training for both squads ahead of Monday's Opening Day. The Cubs got a solid outing from Carlos Silva and the bullpen held to give the team a 2-0 win over the Rockies. The Cubs now head over to Phoenix where they'll play a two-game series against the Diamondbacks before heading to Atlanta to open the 2010 campaign.

The White Sox split up, sending one squad, the big league roster, to South Carolina. That team fell to the AAA Sox affiliate Charlotte Knights 4-3 in an exhibition warm-up. The other squad, composed of mostly prospects, had better luck upending the Mariners 9-4. The Sox now head to Atlanta for a pair of warm up games against the Braves before coming home to open the season Monday at The Cell.
