We know competition for parking spots can be fierce, but we've never heard of anything like this. Five people were arrested at a Joliet apartment building Tuesday afternoon after a fight broke out over a parking spot. Yes, a parking spot. Jasmine Reardon apparently parked in the wrong parking spot, allegedly prompting a beat-down from two other women. Police were called and woman was arrested while another fled. But she came back for a second go-round a short time later.

Deputy Chief Mike Trafton told WBBM 780, "Around 6:15 p.m., officers were sent back because of a large disturbance, a fight outside with 40 to 50 people gathered around, cheering them on." Another win for humanity! This time, the second woman was arrested as was the alleged victim and and another woman were arrested for their part in the brawl and a fifth was arrested for shoving an officer. No word on if the fight broke out because the alleged attackers had called "dibs" on the space. But we're going to go out on a limb and guess that there was a pre-existing beef between the parties involved because a huge brawl would never break out over something as trivial as a parking spot. Uh, right?
