2010_04_08_oprah.jpg With the Oprahpocalypse having passed and her Chicago-based daytime show set to wrap in the fall of 2011, details about Oprah Winfrey's new network, OWN, are beginning to come out, including Oprah's new show. According to the Wall Street Journal, Oprah will be heading to night time with "Oprah's Next Chapter," which will likely air two or three times a week.

Ms. Winfrey's new show, which could air as many as two or three times a week, will take Ms. Winfrey out of the studio setting that has been her home for 25 years and follow her around the globe for conversations in places such as Egypt and China. "I'm going to take viewers with me, going to take celebrities I want to interview with me" around the world, Ms. Winfrey said in an interview.

The channel is scheduled to launch on January 1 of next year and right now there are already over a dozen shows announced and the network is trying to line up around 1,200 hours of "original and acquired programming." Oprah told the WSJ, "My name's going to show up on that grid a lot." We're not surprised one bit. [via the Trib's Phil Rosenthal]
