Apologies to Mike Mitchell
There's been a lot of excitement around these parts over Conan O'Brien. After all, the red-haired comic did live for a time in the Windy City. And while thousands of lucky fans will get to see Conan's live show when it hits the Chicago Theater in May, what about fans of his television hijinks? Well, there's a new plan, now.

Earlier today, O'Brien announced he's signed a deal with cable network TBS - home at one time to Mama's Family reruns and Atlanta Braves baseball - to return to television for a 10 p.m. weeknight show starting in November. O'Brien used his trademark self-deprecating humor when he made the announcement via Twitter: "The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show."

Details of the deal haven't been announced other than that it will push back the current late-night comedy show featuring "comedian" George Lopez to 11 p.m. Chicago time. A deal with Fox, which seemed such a sure thing just weeks ago, fell through as talks broke off last week. At least those ads TBS will run constantly throughout their MLB playoff coverage will be easier to watch than those Frank Caliendo ads.
