Enjoy Guilt-Free Sweets This Weekend

This Saturday join local bakeries and food bloggers at the first annual National Food Blogger Bake Sale, part of Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, supporting the organization in its efforts to eliminate childhood hunger. Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale is a national effort that encourages individuals to help end childhood hunger by holding bake sales in their communities. Since 2003, more than 1.7 million people have participated in the event, raising nearly $6 million.

Who: Some of Chicago's finest food bloggers and bakeries will be there, including Kudos Kookies and Foiled Cupcakes.

What: Remember your childhood bake sales? This one will be even better! Food bloggers and baking aficionados are teaming up to sample some of their favorite baked goods and treats.

When: Saturday, April 17 from 12pm - 3pm

Why: Support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger. Proceeds from the sale will support the 17 million children (almost one in four) who face hunger in America.
