Weekend Dance Party: Drop The Lime Hits Smart Bar

By Jake Guidry in Arts & Entertainment on Apr 23, 2010 7:20PM

2010_04_23_dropthelime.jpg Smart Bar lands yet another pick for Weekend Dance Party, this time thanks to NYC-based Drop the Lime. The producer / DJ has been a key player in the electro scene for over a half decade, running his own label, Trouble & Bass, along with, of course, spinning plenty of mind-blowing sets. Drop the Lime will bring his jungle-inspired, bass-laden house jams tonight to Smart Bar, and we couldn't be more excited.

Drop the Lime brings a unique blend of genres to the table. It's hard to guess which direction he may go tonight, but we can bet on a fair share of breaks, dubstep, house and jungle. He's even changed his approach to deejaying by including live vocals during a set. Whether or not this will be apart of tonight's gig is yet to be determined, but it should have little affect on how crazy the night will be.

Drop the Lime w/ Willy Joy and Black Holes is tonight, Smart Bar, $10 before midnight, $12 after, 21+.
