Sure, Marcus, Benjy and a few others (raises hand) are salivating at the prospect of Chick-fil-A inching ever closer to Chicago's borders, but when you can find the kind of perfection pictured above on a Sunday, it's enough to make the biggest heathens get right with God.

This chicken and biscuit was a special yesterday at Bridgeport brunch hotspot Nana. New chef Guy Meikle is slowly steering the menu toward a more seasonal and local focus and some light dabbling in home curing. Meikle's gravlax has an amazing flavor and served as the impetus for our own recent salmon curing experiment. But this fried chicken and biscuit may just be the first shot in a new War of Northern Aggression, if Nana makes this a regular item. It's a spicy fried chicken breast served on a buttered, homemade biscuit. The chicken is topped with cilantro slaw, which complements the flavor of the chicken perfectly. the dish comes with green beans, mandarin oranges, almond slivers and home fries. Chick-fil-WHO?
