Kirk Skipping Palin Appearance

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Apr 27, 2010 8:40PM

On May 12, the (in)famous Sarah Palin will be in Chicago for a speaking engagement at the Rosemont Theatre as well as an Illinois Republican Party fundraiser. But conspicuous by his absence will be U.S. Rep. (and GOP Senate candidate) Mark Kirk. Kirk's campaign says he'll be in Washington D.C. for scheduled House votes (i.e., doing his job). But given the history between the two, it's not that much of a shock Kirk would opt out. Kirk, if you remember, went after Palin's support last fall ahead of the primaries but didn't get anything in the way of an endorsement or even much of a mention from Palin.

As for us, we'll be getting our Palin viewing in that same night at The Admiral's Palin look-a-like contest, thankyouverymuch.
