Dog Days For Traffic On The Ike

By Marcus Gilmer in Miscellaneous on Apr 29, 2010 6:20PM

It seems one adventurous pooch has been causing a scene on the Eisenhower Expressway the last few mornings. The dog has caused a few traffic back-ups this week as he's wandered in and out of traffic. But this morning, after narrowly avoiding meeting his doom, crews from the Illinois Department of Transportation, already doing construction on the highway, were able to coral the dog. According to ABC 7, this much is known about the dog:

  • The dog is a five-year-old, un-neutered male.
  • He was not wearing a collar or microchip.
  • It is believed he was not stray; he does not have external flees and was well fed.
  • There were no signs of fighting.
  • He is exhausted and being given fluid, oxygen and sedative to relax.
