The Windy City Rollers are heading into the home-stretch of their intra-league season with just a few bouts left. But after this past weekend's bouts, we have a clear picture of which teams are going to get a shot at this year's Ivy King Cup. In the first bout of the night, The Fury held off a feisty Hell's Belles team for a 125-110 win. The Belles took an early lead to open up the bout but The Fury, led by Kola Loka's jams, took the lead back by halftime. Still, thanks to big jams from Deb Autry and Shocka Conduit, the Belles hung tough and were within striking distance on the last jam, but a penalty on jammer Shocka Conduit allowed The Fury to run out the clock and secure the win, which clinched The Fury's spot in the Championship bout.

In the second bout of the night, the Manic Attackers (2-2) faced a short-handed Double Crossers squad (3-1). A Manics win would pull them into a second-place tie but a Crossers win would send them to the Championship bout. Down by as many as 25 early, the Manic's Wreck N Shrew had a huge jam to pull the Manics closer and they eventually cut the lead to one. But a 19-point jam by the Crossers' Julia Rosenwinkel extended the Crosser lead to 57-39 at halftime. A Manics charge in the second half was hurt by late penalties and, when the clock hit zero, the Crossers managed a 120-91 victory to clinch the other spot in the Ivy King Cup championship on June 5th.

But before that, there's one more bout to go on May 22 which features a rising Belles team looking to finish the season on a winning note against the Manic Attackers and a preview of the championship bout when the Double Crossers and Fury face off.
