Fish and Chips: Where Do You Get Your Fix?

We can't resist one more look at our basket of fish and chips.

So far, we've talked octopus, German food, and burgers at home, on the grill. Today? Fish and chips. We don't know why it doesn't occur to us to make this at home. I suppose we just feel more proper having our fish and chips while at a pub, with a draft beer in hand. So we want to know: when you have your fish and chips, what kind of fish do you prefer? What are your batter preferences? Tartar sauce or malt vinegar? And finally, where do you go when you need your fix?
