Lilith Fair's Return Not So Mighty

We're not surprised the Chicago stop of the resurrected Lilith Fair hasn't been selling well -- it's competing with the incredibly strong line-up of the Pitchfork Music Festival AND most of the more intriguing acts on the tour are missing from the Chicago bill (wherefore art thou Erykah Badu, Metric, Tegan & Sara and Rihanna). O.K., so Lilith has an excuse for faltering in Chicago, but apparently we're not the only soft market.
The Advocate reports that ticket sales across the board have been sluggish, primarily due to the high cost of tickets. Lilith figurehead Sarah McLachlan counters that claim saying, "There's 9,000 [tickets] that are 25 dollars, so come on. We're working our hardest to have reasonably priced tickets so it can be accessible for everyone and that people will want to come."
We'd love to know where these $25 tickets are since the cheapest seat, located on the lawn of the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, for the July 17 Chicago show is $47.50, before TicketBastard gouging charges.
