On Wednesday night, a man called police after his dog discovered what looked to be a human knee bone in the Logan Square neighborhood at 2107 N. Sawyer Ave. According to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, it was not immediately known whether or not the bones were human and they're still being examined.

Another similar bone was uncovered by officers at the Sawyer Avenue address on a cement pathway leading from the front of the house to the alley, police said. The yard of the abandoned house is overgrown with weeds. According to police, the two bones appeared to be human knee joints and were dirty. It was not known how long they had been there for. Grand Central Area detectives are currently investigating. [Chicago Sun-Times].
