Running parallel with the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign, "Chefs Move to Schools" connects children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. At the event, local chefs learned how to adopt a school at a panel discussion with Assistant to the White House Chef Sam Kass and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

Big thumbs up to our Chicago Chefs working to stop hunger and childhood obesity, one school lunch at a time.

How can you help our fearless culinary leaders and nosh on something delicious?

Next Thursday, June 10 from 6pm - 8:30pm, Share Our Strength, the organization fueling the “Chefs Move to Schools” fire and producer of one of the most sought after foodie fundraiser events, Taste of the Nation, will be throwing a ticket sales party at Sub 51 (under Hub 51 at 51 W. Hubbard).

For $15 admission enjoy passed appetizers, open bar, prizes and a DJ. At the party, don’t forget to purchase your Taste of the Nation ticket, where your admission to the ticket sales party will go toward either a Taste of the Nation general admission ticket for $95 or a VIP ticket for $150. The Taste of the Nation event takes place on August 12 at the Aragon Ballroom.
