Subway's Bad Luck Timing

Subway seems to be suffering from an unfortunate bit of bad timing. We received a few tips yesterday about this promotion, in which local Subways in the Chicago/NW Indiana area are offering free English Muffin melts this morning from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Unfortunately, Subway is also dealing with a bit of negative press locally as nearly 50 people across Illinois (the closest to Chicago being Will County) have been sickened from a salmonella outbreak due to food from Subway restaurants. The incidents were reported between May 11 and May 25; a specific cause of the outbreak has yet to be identified though reps from the restaurant are working with local health departments to help determine the cause.
