It's Friday so everyone is gearing up for the weekend but there's already a lot going on that's going to make things hard to get around town today. A lot of folks will be streaming in to downtown for this morning's Blackhawks victory parade and rally, scheduled to start at Washington and Wacker at 10:30 a.m. There are lots of bus reroutes in effect, some street closures have already gone into effect in the Loop and even more will kick in by 10:15. Not to mention the large number of people due to be downtown for the parade.

But that's not the only thing going on today that's going to cause traffic snarls. There are already street closures in effect for Blues Fest and as people stream out of downtown after the Blackhawks rally, things will be getting sticky on the North Side as the Cubs and White Sox prepare to kick off their Series Of Futility this afternoon at 1:20 p.m. at Wrigley Field.

And THEN? Well, there's the Printers Row Lite Fest, Rib Fest, Old Town Art Fair... basically, it's not going to be a good weekend to drive. Our pals at The Expired Meter have a list of what's going on with street closures from CDOT to help you plan your weekend.
