Weekend Dance Party: Life During Wartime Hits The Hideout

2010_06_11_ldw.jpg We assume, what with all the sporting events, parades, festivals and the like, that your plate this weekend is full - a near smorgasbord. We'd sympathize, but being the busy-bodies that we are, we’re going to add a little hearty gravy to that plate (made with seitan for you non-meat-eaters) - and, just like Mother, we aren't letting you leave the table till it's all gone. So open wide, your weekend just got that much more cumbersome with Life During Wartime at The Hideout, this week’s pick for Weekend Dance Party.

Life During Wartime, the self proclaimed "dance party and social", was created by the event’s resident DJs, Bald E. and Mother Hubbard and will include special guests Blah Blah Blah and Yawn. Both Bald E. and Mother Hubbard are known for throwing some fun parties in Chicago, so don’t begin to think that tomorrow night will be any different. Your primer: disco, indie, old, new, electro, rock, etc. etc. It doesn’t even matter - it’ll make you boogie.

Life During Wartime, Saturday, The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., $8, $5 after 11:30pm
