Cubs Edge A's
The Cubs seemed to have found a little rhythm, beating the A's for the second straight game, this one by a 3-2 final, and taking the series. The hero of the day was Kosuke Fukudome who came off the bench to score the tying run in the eighth and then knocked a bases loaded, one-out single in the bottom of the ninth to deliver the win for the Cubs. Randy Wells pitched a strong seven innings (2 ER, 6 Ks) but came away with a no decision; Carlos Marmol got the win. The Cubs hope to keep the streak alive as they welcome the L.A. Angels to town for a weekend series (1:20 p.m., CSN).

Sox Sweep Bucs
The White Sox completed a sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates, holding off an eighth-inning rally to win 5-4. The Sox spread the offense as five different players had an RBI in the win. Mark Buehrle got his fifth win of the season though it wasn't without drama. Up 5-1 in the eighth, the Sox pitchers allowed the Pirates to load the bases and score three times, Buehrle credited with one run and Sergio Santos with the other two. But they managed to get themselves out of the jam and Bobby Jenks got his 13th save of the year. The Sox continue their East Coast Trip, heading to Washington D.C. to open up a series tonight where they'll face rookie phenom Stephen Strasburg (6:05 p.m., CSN)
