This New Friendly's Burger Looks Familiar, Doesn't It?

An east coast restaurant chain called Friendly's is making the rounds on the internets today talking about their new Grilled Cheese Burger Melt, and it's being called the KFC Double Down on steroids. But if you thought to yourself, "Hey, self - doesn't that look like something that Kuma's Corner did about a year and a half ago?" And you'd be right.

According to Consumerist the "fatty melt" goes back a little further than the Blago Burger, and Serious Eats backs it up. That said, with the trial in full swing, isn't it time for Kuma's to revisit this particular artery clogger?

The real question remains: How bad is it? Here's a link to the nutritional information of the Friendly's burger, and frighteningly enough it's not the worst thing on the menu. That said, if it's even near nutritionally similar to the numerous Kuma's creations we've all ingested over the years, you're probably better off not knowing anyways.
