Weekend Dance Party: Dead Fame Hits Bottom Lounge

2010_06_25_deadfame.jpg Chicago's been on as of late in the club scene. Seriously, just on it. All sorts of DJs have been coming out of the woodwork and hitting clubs all over the city. Flosstradamus, Nick Catchdubs, Ghetto Division, Willy Joy, Kid Color, the list goes on. However, tomorrow, Chicago's about to step it up and officially kick off summer clubbing with Dead Fame at Bottom Lounge, this week's pick for Weekend Dance Party.

You may have seen the lineup card for Dead Fame that's been floating around town. And no, you weren't mistaken when you thought it was about five feet long. Headlined by DJ/producer D.I.M. (of Boys Noize Records), Le Castle Vania, DZ and Midnight Conspiracy, the full lineup boasts over 20 more acts including Broken Disco 1980, Gemini Club, True Villain, Lucky Date, Phaded and Scotty Brandon. Bottom Lounge will set up separate rooms for the event including music-specific rooms for electro and another for dubstep. While the lineup is hefty - almost cumbersome - Dead Fame is looking to bring a diverse experience by also featuring live silkscreening, face painting, and videography. We will admit the 18+ worries us a bit - dance parties aren't fun when there isn't room to, you know, dance - but D.I.M. and the rest of the headliners are just too solid to pass up.

Dead Fame, Saturday, 8pm, Bottom Lounge, $15+, 18+
