Chefs, Fashionistas Team Up for Fundraiser

In an ideal world, we'd love to have everyone in the city drop what they're doing and head to Goose Island Clybourn Thursday for our reader meetup. Realistically, that isn't going to happen, especially with events such as Thursday's Chefs and the City event taking place.

A fundraiser benefiting Vital Bridges, which provides more than 10 million meals, 600,000 nights of shelter and 250,000 hours of counseling to over 10,000 clients infected with HIV, Chefs and the City brings together some of the top chefs and designers in the city for an evening of high fashion and fine food. This year the restaurant list includes Arun's, Avenues, Belly Shack/Urban Belly, the Blackbird/avec/Publican empire, NAHA, Perennial, Province, Ria and Balsan, Sepia, Spring, Sprout, the Bristol and Vie.

Chefs and the City starts 6 p.m. Thursday at the Peninsula Hotel (108 E. Superior). Tickets can be purchased here.
