We're still resting up after the crazy but fun Pitchfork Music Fest weekend but Lollapallooza is no slouch, reminding us it looms just a few weeks away. With the custom schedule option already up on the site, the fest has released the map of the grounds so you can really start making your plan of attack for the three-day megafest marathon. A few things we noted:

  1. The main North Stage (aka Budweiser stage) has been shifted from its central location to the northeast corner, directly facing the Petrillo Band Shell (aka the Playstation stage)
  2. Perry's Tent has moved yet again, this time to the southern half of the park. It's like a new tradition: where will Perry's Tent move to each year?
  3. The Sony bloggie stage is where Perry's was last year.
  4. And the Kidapalooza tent is a bit south of where it was last year.

But there's more for you to get out of the Lollapalooza experience. Because, like everything else, there's now an app for that. If you've got an iPhone, you can download the Lollapalooza app that synchronizes with your custom schedule, features access to the map, gives you artist info, lets you post stuff to Facebook and Twitter, and all other kinds of app goodness. Of course, the fest has long been a notorious black hole for AT&T reception, even back in "the day" when the service provider sponsored one of the big stages. So maybe going the old-fashioned route of just printing everything out at work will be a good back up. Just in case they don't go the SXSW route with mobile antennae placed around the park.
