Clark Nyss Jones and Will Miles are Two Black Dudes
- Tonight, the incredibly fun stand-up comedy open mic Two Black Dudes and an Open Microphone transforms itself into a benefit showcase for Chicago fashion designer Anna Hovet’s Reduce Reuse Restyle program. Audience members are invited to bring old clothes, from infant to adult. Stop in the Town Hall Pub at 8 p.m. for a giant showcase of some of Chicago’s rising stand-up comics and bring those jeans you know aren’t going to fit again.
TONIGHT, Town Hall Pub, 3340 N Halsted St., 8 p.m., FREE. - The monthly midnight cabaret variety show Nightcaps happens this Friday at Berlin. Get in a little early to secure a spot in front of the stage, up close and personal with drag queen songstresses, magicians, circus acts, and everyone’s favorite sibling duo, the Puterbaugh Sisterz (and their many wigs).
Friday, July 30, Berlin, 954 W. Belmont, midnight, $5. - There are only a couple weeks left to catch the trifecta Arguing with a Quadriplegic (Jim Fath), Comedogenic (Paul Thomas), and Ted and Melanie (Jet Eveleth and Paul Brittain). See three shows in one time slot at the legendary iO Theater. Speaking of Paul Thomas, have you seen his latest music video? Warning: you won’t be able to unsee it. Very, very slightly NSFW, to hilarious results, after the jump.
Thursdays through August 12, iO Chicago, 3541 N Clark St., 8 p.m., $12.
