The new prototype train cars on the CTA continue making the rounds, this time giving Blue Line riders a chance at experiencing the new cars. The CTA expected to roll them out today on the Blue Line. They've already seen time on the Red and Green lines. Not that there haven't been a few hiccups along the way. The prototype 5000-series rail cars were pulled from service in late May due to an issue with the rail cars' brake system. The cars were pulled to undergo a few tweaks and returned to the Green Line last month. As always, if you get to ride on, let us know what you think about the new amenities, how they compare to the old train cars, and if they've been christened with the stench of urine yet.
