The Number One Piece Of Advice For Surviving Lollapalooza

2010_08_lolla_app.jpg Do NOT count on your cell phone for texting. Are you planning n meeting up with friends? Pick a specific time and place to do it. If someone says "text me when you get there and I'll find you" it means they don't want to see you because cell coverage in Grant Park (and it's surrounding halo of hotel and club after-parties) is abysmal. Texts take hours to get through. Seriously.

All is not doom and gloom on the cell phone front though! If your device can handle WiFi you'll still be able to email friends (and play with the nifty Lollapalooza apps (iPhone / Android), including their own chat options). So at least your phone won't be completely useless as a communication device. Huzzah!

Oh yeah, and don't forget to print out our recommendations on who to see in this year's line-up.
