Do This: Two Great Events at Uncommon Ground

Bees.jpg We've expressed our love for Uncommon Ground many times before, and they tend to run awesome, informative events. Two in particular caught our eye.

On September 1st, Uncommon Ground will be hosting a showing of Vanishing of the Bees, a British documentary about the rapidly declining bee population (sometimes called "colony collapse") and it's implications for our lives. There will be a tour of Uncommon Ground's beehives at 6, followed by dinner at 6:30 and the movie at 7:30. Dinner is ordered off the menu, and there is a $10 donation for the movie.

For the green parents, Uncommon Ground is hosting "Green Parenting: Growing Healthy Kids" on August 14th. There will be face painting, music, crafts and entertainment in their parking lot, free appetizers and tons of local environment-friendly organizations and merchants.

Uncommon Ground is located at 1401 West Devon Avenue.
