Goose Island throws an annual pig roast on the brewery's loading dock benefiting Slow Food Chicago, among the many other Dionysian extravaganzas they host on the dock. The lineup of chefs for this year's model, coming up next Sunday, August 22 from 2-5 p.m., has a list of chefs that eclipses last year's inaugural lineup.

Rick Gresh (David Burke's Primehouse), mado's Rob Levitt, Kith & Kin's David Carrier, Jared Wentworth of Longman & Eagle, The Publican's Erling Wu-Bower, Josh Kulp and Chrstine Cikowski of Sunday Dinner Club, Michael Schrader and Jimmy Farrell of N9ne and former Hot Chocolate/current Gage chef Mark Steuer will join Goose Island Clybourn's Andrew Hroza in roasting pigs that Goose Island brewmaster Greg Hall said are coming straight from George Rasmussen's Swan Creek Farms. Vegetarians are also being looked out for with this event, courtesy of Angel Food Bakery's Stephanie Samuels; she'll also provide dessert.

Tours of the brewery will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you plan on attending, come early.
