Mad Decent Descends On Hideout

By Tankboy in Arts & Entertainment on Aug 19, 2010 5:20PM

2010_08_maddecent.jpg This weekend Mad Decent is curating the yearly Hideout Block Party. Having a dance-o-rama for the yearly block party might appear to be a bit of a step sideways for the Hideout but it makes total sense as the little club tucked away in an industrial wasteland has been making quite a name for itself through it’s DJ sets. The concert schedule is still dominated by rock and country acts, but the late nights belong to the dancers.

Kid Sister has been announced as the headliner and she should be more than capable of closing the night out with a bang. We’ve seen her twice in the last month or so, at Millennium Park and at a Lollapalooza afterparty, and can attest the young lady from Chicago has mastered the art of commanding a stage and bringing her audience into the party.

Gates are at noon and there is no cover but they’re asking that folks RSVP ahead of time.

Can't wait until Saturday to get your groove on? Then head to the pre-party with Willy Joy at the Diesel store at 923 Rush Street tomorrow from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The Mad Decent Block Party is this Saturday, August 21 at Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., FREE but don’t forget to RSVP, all ages
