Rappin' Ass Thursdays Comes To Beauty Bar

Though you probably don't know it, Beauty Bar is consistently a good location for up-and-coming and mid-level DJs. The venue isn't known for its e-mail blasts or excessive pleas for re-tweets, so in any given week you may miss a DJ you've been dying to see. We'll pick up the slack for Beauty Bar and highlight this week's Rappin' Ass Thursdays, a new monthly party presented by Fool's Gold Records whose main objective is, you guessed it, to play top rap and hip-hop, new and old. This month's installment has Flosstradamus and Nick Catchdubs on the decks, main players on the Fool's Gold roster.

If the last Rappin' Ass Thursdays is any indication, the night will be a raucous one, journeying through all eras and genres of rap. It's not often we hear Run-DMC and "Teach Me How to Dougie" in the same night, but it's welcome nonetheless. Both Flosstradamus and Nick Catchdubs have long been known for insatiable tastes in hip-hop, and their sets always show that. Part nostalgia, part juke and part impeccable emcee flow, Rappin' Ass Thursdays is a party that needs to stay. We just need to help Beauty Bar spread the word.
