Caption This: Obama On Vacation

By Staff in Miscellaneous on Aug 25, 2010 6:20PM

Presidential vacations are always heated talking points. For instance, five years ago, President George W. Bush waited two days after the landfall of Hurricane Katrina to cut short his month-long vacation and return to Washington, D.C. to oversee the "disaster response." President Obama is no different, facing criticism for having taken 48 days of vacation through the first 19 months of his presidency while facing challenges like the ongoing economic crisis and the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill (no, it's not all cleaned up yet).

So we're taking the more light-hearted route and soliciting your captions for the above photo, taken last week at the Bunch of Grapes book store in Vineyard Haven, Mass., where the first family is vacationing. In a way, the AP has fired the opening salvo with this snarky little quip in their photo description: "It says something when the most exciting moment of a presidential vacation is a trip to the bookstore." OH, SNAP!

Your move, readers.
