The calendar says August but we're getting a tease of fall over the next few days as a cold front has passed through and left us with the coolest, driest air we've seen in nearly two months. Bountiful sunshine will be shining down on us as highs reach the mid-to-upper 70s. Winds will be brisk out of the Northwest making it feel a bit cooler, especially by the lake. Overnight, lows will fall into the mid-50's - yes, the mid-50s - as the bout of cool weather settles in. That's right: light jacket weather in August. Amazing. The cool spell will last through the end of the week but look for a surge of warm weather to hit back by the weekend. Still, this little fall preview is pretty marvelous so, if you don't mind, excuse us while we pop outside for a stroll around the block.
