Good Read: Chicago Mag's Top 40 Artistic Breakthroughs

Chicago Magazine continues to roll out their top 40 lists celebrating their 40th anniversary all year and their latest is a pretty intriguing list: the top 40 artistic breakthroughs in the city's history. The list runs the gamut overing poetry, film, architecture, and, yes, the Second City troupe's migration to SNL. The video above gives you a hint at Number One but the whole list is worth checking out, from the Cloud Gate to Roger & Ebert to Gwendolyn Brooks to Wilco, there's plenty to check out and plenty to argue over.
