Honky Tonk Bingo Returns

2010-09-bingo.jpg This Sunday, September 5, Honky Tonk Bingo makes its triumphant return after an almost two year hiatus. First started in January 2005 at the now-defunct Pontiac Cafe in Wicker Park, Honky Tonk Bingo will now be called in the gorgeous back patio beer garden of the Orbit Room, 2959 N. California. We had a chance to chat with Professional Bingo Caller Durwood Wilkes recently, who will be at the helm of the reprised Honky Tonk Bingo, along with a rotating roster of special guests (this week's guest caller will be none other than Nicky Mouse, Mickey Mouse's outlaw cousin).

After the jump, Durwood gives us a brief rundown on the history of Honky Tonk Bingo, and what newbies might be able to expect from the ball-twirling event...
