Shakespeare District officers who responded found partygoers going into a storefront -- an unlicensed venue -- and alcohol being served to 50 to 75 people, most of whom were not old enough to drink, according to the release. Some were holding alcoholic beverages and waiting to pay an entrance fee when police arrived, the release said. While the news report says that none of the minors at the party were cited for underage drinking, the person who was held responsible for the party was charged with criminal trespass to property and also cited for not having a license to distribute alcohol in a place of amusement.
