Speeding Tickets Get More Expen$ive

Pretty soon you'll have a new incentive to keep your car under the speed limits on the streets and highways around the state. Starting a week from Wednesday, on September 15, fines for speeding tickets issued for going 19 mph or less over the limit jump from $75 to $120. Likewise, there will be a jump if you're ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt, albeit smaller, from $55 to $60.
