Ebert Returning To TV

The thumbs are returning. Those rumors earlier this year have turned out to be true after all: "Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies," a weekly half-hour film review program, will begin airing on WTTW in January. Coming close on the heels of the demise of "At The Movies," this is welcome news indeed. More from the press release:

...in addition to reviewing new movies will expand into coverage of New Media, special segments on classics, on-demand viewing and genres, and an extended website. It will use the copyrighted "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down"® format made famous by Siskel & Ebert. The program's principal co-hosts will be Christy Lemire, film critic of The Associated Press, and Elvis Mitchell of National Public Radio.
Ebert will be the show's co-producer and will appear weekly in a segment called Roger's Office, talking about classic, overlooked. and new films. Yes, talking, using that cool new computer voice he debuted on Oprah.
Not like you've ever gone away, but welcome back Roger!
