Two of Chicago’s best underground music depots are giving it a go. CHIRP, otherwise known as the online-streaming Chicago Independent Radio Project, and Coach House Sounds, the analog-taping, digital streaming live music outlet we profiled earlier in the summer, are teaming up.

Here’s how: According to the CHIRP blog, the community radio station will preview exclusive tracks from upcoming Coach House Sounds sessions, as well as feature interviews with CHS participants on their blog. Currently, the most recent Coach House sessions include uber-fuzzy garage-shoegazers Radar Eyes and an mammoth, 11-song session from exuberant power-poppers Tyler Jon Tyler. They, as always, are worth checking out, and we can’t wait to read what the interviews will be featured on the CHIRP blog. Chicago music fans, get ready to whet your underground music whistle.
