Sneed Says What We All Know: Rahm Running For Mayor

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Sep 29, 2010 6:00PM

That Rahm Emanuel is going to leave the White House and run for Mayor of Chicago is the worst-kept secret in local politics right now. And we can now add one more source to the "Rahm is running" pile in the form of Drew Peterson mouthpiece Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed. Sneed, who reported on the Rahm's issue getting back into his home, currently rented out, yesterday reports that Rahm will make the mayoral run official this Friday. According to the source, “Rahm will end the week leaving the White House, move to Chicago this weekend, and begin campaigning like a galloping horse next week. He is not worried about not meeting a residency requirement. He has had top election experts advising him, and he doesn’t have a problem in that area.” Like a galloping horse, eh? Well, it seems there's already an appropriate Twitter feed available so we guess we're off to the races.
