2010_10_01_GG.jpg The toughest restaurant to get a reservation in town these days is Girl & the Goat. Which is why an upcoming Friends of the James Beard House dinner on November 2 at 6:30 p.m. may be an ideal chance to get a table.

Stephanie Izard is enlisting in the help of BOKA's Guiseppe Tentori, Bill Kim of Belly Shack/Urban Belly, Hot Chocolate's Mindy Segal, former Blackbird chef Mike Sheerin and Daniel Fox of the Madison Club in Madison, WI for a six-course bacchanal paired with local craft beer.

The focus on the dinner is on preparing a meal using humanely raised livestock and the bounty of the autumn harvest. When Fox isn't in the kitchen of his restaurant, he's raising Mangalitsa pigs at Fountain Prairie Farm in Columbus, WI. fox will be providing a Mangalitsa for him and the other chefs to use.

The cost for the dinner is $200; as of 10 a.m. reservations are being accepted. Call 312-492-6262 for reservations.
