And the Most Disliked Politician Award Goes To...

Ah, politics. Can you smell it in the air? The votes are in, and the people have spoken: Rod Blagojevich is the most disliked politician in the country. Blago takes the reign from Levi Johnston (aspiring mayor of Alaska and Sarah Palin's nemesis), as Public Policy Polling noted that 83% of Illinois voters had an unfavorable opinion of Blago and that only 8% of Illinois voters had any favorable feelings toward the ex-governor.

The 75 point difference in the two opinions has decidedly placed Blago above Johnston in the rankings for Most Disliked Politician:

There's not a lot of point in breaking down feelings toward Blagojevich along demographic lines because pretty much everyone in the state hates him about the same. Only 10% of Democrats, 7% of independents, and 5% of Republicans see him in a favorable light.
Tough love. Additionally, it appears (without surprise to many) that Illinois is a popular place for dispised politicians to go: Illinois is also the home of Jesse Jackson, Jr. who apparently is the third most unpopular politician that Public Policy Polling has found in any state, as 73% of the voters in Illinois hold him unfavorably against 10% who see him favorably.
