Bendersky To (Finally) Head Up Eater Chicago

After years of fits and starts, rumors and innuendo, Eater Chicago launched today with Foodie the App partner Ari Bendersky at the helm.
That Bendersky will be steering Eater's editorial coverage while maintaining a financial interest in Foodie raises a litany of possible conflicts of interest between the two. Bendersky told Feast Chicago's Carly Fisher that he's stepping away from his day-to-day operational obligations to Foodie, but that isn't enough, since he still has the vested financial interest in the business and benefits from the restaurants who sign up for the service. Michael Nagrant, possibly the most uncompromising restaurant critic in town, said the best thing for Bendersky to do would be to divest his interest in Foodie or step down as Eater Editor.
