One for the Road: Justin Townes Earle

One of the reasons I came back early from the Great American Beer Festival was because I had tickets for the Justin Townes Earle concert at Lincoln Hall. Instead, I stayed home and tended to my dog, who went through a major case of separation anxiety while I was in Denver.

So I can't tell you which JTE showed up to Lincoln Hall. The one in the video above? Or the one who was arrested in Indianapolis two nights earlier? Kinda hoping the former, because this performance of "Christchurch Woman," off his new Bloodshot release Harlem River Blues, is pretty badass. Those mannerisms and vocal inflections are genetically gifted from father Steve Earle, while the song itself is a killer tune.
