Jukebox the Ghost is inexhaustible. Along with high-spirited piano pop so catchy that even the most disapproving cynic can’t help but bop his head, the Philly-based trio is known for its extensive touring (they’ve played more than 300 shows since their 2008 debut Let Live and Let Ghosts), as well as an wildly energetic live performance. If you caught their set at Lollapalooza or their after-party at the Bottom Lounge in August, then you know exactly what we’re talking about. So it’s no surprise then that the tireless trio is back on the road yet again and making their way to Chicago for a show at Schubas tomorrow night.

But this time around the band is touring in support of its sophomore album, Everything Under the Sun, which was released September 7 through Yep Roc Records. It’s everything we’ve come to expect from Jukebox: shamelessly simple pop melodies made for sing-alongs and sunny afternoons. While it won’t leave you contemplating existence, the album is infectiously happy, and buoyant tracks like “Carrying,” “Half Crazy,” and the lead single “Empire” will guarantee an intensely fun live show. Also playing are Brooklyn pop acts Via Audio and Elizabeth & the Catapult.

Jukebox the Ghost plays Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 13 at Schubas, 3159 N Southport, 9 p.m., $10 in advance or $12 at the door, 18+
