Oglesby Embezzlement Draws In The Unwitting

By Chuck Sudo in News on Oct 12, 2010 1:30PM

2010_9_oglesby.jpg State's Attorney Anita Alvarez's embezzlement case against former Tood Stroger aide Carla Oglesby becomes better reading by the day. A ten-page complaint against Oglesby refers anonymously to fellow associates of Stroger who may have been involved in Oglesby's embezzlement scheme. Alvarez said many of the people in the complaint may have been involved unwittingly, as Oglesby used their work for Stroger to bill her own company.

A curious note about the complaint: the list of "public officials" starts with "Public Official 'B'." There's no "Public Official 'A'" listed. Let the speculation begin as to whether that was intentional so that Alvarez doesn't tip her hand into any investigation into todd Stroger himself.
