Blago Prosecutors Cry Foul Over Adam, Adam, Jr. Statements

PRosecutors in Rod Blagojevich's retrial filed a 34-page complaint yesterday against the former governor's former attorneys, Sam Adam, Sr. and Sam Adam, Jr.
The complaint claims that the Adams made out of court were "offensive" and "inappropriate;" that they were playing to potential jurors in the retrial via television cameras; and that Sam Adam, Jr. simply made up claims that a Blagojevich retrial could cost up to $25 to $30 million dollars in taxpayer money.
"The notion that the government should forgo prosecution of a corrupt ex-governor is offensive to any sense of justice," prosecutors said. "These misleading statements and others were clearly meant to improperly influence the jury that will hear this case on retrial."
Well, duh! It could be said that the Adams, realizing they wouldn't be able to defend Blago in the retrial, gave former Governor Sound Bite a nice parting gift. Next time, prosecutors should make their case.
