Altercation at Albertina Walker Funeral, Two Arrested

2010_10_18_albertinawalker.jpg A very un-Christian moment occurred during last week's musical tribute to Gospel music legend Albertina Walker when a nephew of the late "Queen of Gospel" and a family friend were charged with roughing up an ex-agent of Walker's.

The agent, identified by sources as Eric Peterson, allegedly took to the stage at Walker's funeral against the wishes of the family. Gerald Walker, Albertina Walker's nephew, asked Peterson to leave the stage and, when Peterson didn't, physically removed him with the help of friend Carl Jackson. Both Gerald Walker and Jackson were charged with one count of battery. Peterson was not hurt seriously and later attended Albertina Walker's funeral.

The Walker family's issues with Peterson apparently stem from a dispute over some possessions of the late singer.
