We know that a lot of you don't check Chicagoist on the weekend, for a myriad of reasons. Which means that you may have missed out on some of the wonderful content that Prescott and the weekend staff have been generating. He's got that crew moving and blocking better than the Bears offensive line.

Starting today, we're going to reserve 4:30 p.m. every Monday to recap you on the posts we feel are most worthy of a read (or a re-read, if you did visit). Here's what you missed:
- Josh likes a good Mary Mitchell column, but not enough to buy into her argument that Chicago should take a page from Detroit and bring in more casinos and urban farms.
- Authorities from Cape Town,South Africa met with CeaseFire founder Dr. Gary Slutkin recently to see if a similar program could reduce gang violence in that city.
- The suburban collar counties contain up to 40 percent of registered voters in Illinois. So why are Pat Quinn and Bill Brady treating them like red-headed stepchildren?
- Illinois judges are the second-highest paid in the country.
- Coedine pills were discovered in a West Side store's candy jar. Wasn't this in an episode of "Rescue Me?"
