Berrios Attack Ad Throws Slop Against Wall, Hopes Something Sticks

Cook County Democratic Party Chairman and County Assessor candidate Joe Berrios launched an attack ad against challenger Forrest Claypool that essentially has nothing to do with the race itself and everything to do with scaring voters to "support the Democrat."

Berrios, whose own insider politics regarding property tax appeals have come into question during the campaign, uses the smoke and mirrors ad to accuse Claypool of using smoke and mirrors to cast himself as the reformer in the race. Maybe the had has something to say about property tax assessments, but it's so subtle we can't find it.

Anyway, it's fun to get a full dose of Democratic machine politics early in the morning.
