Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Win Streak Reaches Four

By Chuck Sudo in News on Oct 21, 2010 1:00PM

Blackhawks 2, Canucks 1 (OT): Marty Turco stopped 36 of 37 shots on goal and Patrick Kane slipped the game-winning goal past Roberto Luongo during the shootout session to beat Vancouver and extend the Blackhawks winning streak to four games.

The game shaped up to be a battle of goalies, with Turco and Luongo stopping shot after shot through regulation and the overtime period. It looked as though the shootout would go for a while, as well. But Turco set a shot by Mikael Samuelsson wide after Kane beat Luongo. Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews also netted goals in the shootout round, while Viktor Stalberg scored during regulation for the Hawks.
